Project 2

Project 3

The idea was to make a button that i used by the users feet as a step to trigger the button (due to the lack of materials I opted for the poke demonstration) But the idea was for users to get a better understanding of lights and light switches and how much energy it takes to put on a light I wanted the user to constantly put in effort to light a space and to not take it for granted.

Data

This project was very fun. It was cool to make this. My idea was that I wanted to make vanishing lightning bolts:

Final Project

The Final:

What Did I make? I wanted to make a glove that has idea of a flashlight in the palm of the users hand. The gesture is that someone would pull back their wrist to complete their circuit. This is the sketch for it:

I made it, i messily I let it dry. The biggest problem is that took such weak photos because I wanted to focus to be the video demonstration but I looked back at my camera roll and it wasn’t there I did this experiment at 7PM and im upload all this at 11:30PM it hurts but I do have a photo:

How does it work exactly?

There is a 9-volt battery soldered onto 2 pieces of copper mesh, which is sewn onto a knitted glove one side reaches the nood light in the palm the other reaches halfway and ends in a larger bit of copper textile. through the gesture, the circuit is completed.

Problems?
TONS knit is not the best glove to work with maybe leather of something that’s a bit more stiff would get a better result. I’d do the gesture and it would work and it wouldn’t work for the next ten times. knit is loose and less predictable. Soldering it much trickier than I thought it would be its really difficult

Ultimately it was a failure, but in failing i’ve learned so much more in this experience. If i wasn’t sick i would have completed this no problem.

Materials:

Copper thread

Conductive Wool

Alligator Clips

Breadboard

Arduino

Wires

Battery

Sponge-like material

Red LED

None the less this was a fun assignment to do. I’m considering to try this for my MS2 project.
